About us

A&W in a nutshell

Since 1988 we have been helping our clients with independent research, plans and visions for spatial planning, biodiversity restoration, ecological impact assessments and integrated water resources management. Our own (field) research and data analysis form important sources of knowledge building, inspiration and advice.

We often work in multidisciplinary teams and work together in partnerships, for example with engineering firms, landscape architects, (urban) planners, universities and research institutes. We stand for an innovative approach, based on sound ecological data, collected and processed according to scientifically sound methods.

What matters to us

To us it is important to take into account nature, landscape and the quality of our environment into new developments and projects. That is why the mission of A&W is to conduct ecological research and deliver advice that contribute to sustainable spatial development, the restoration of biodiversity and effective nature protection in the Netherlands and abroad. In line with our mission, values and the nature of our work, we stand for a sustainable business approach.

The world is changing and with it the content of our work. Climate change and adaptation, sustainable water management, biodiversity restoration and the search for renewable energy are major challenges. In order to provide our customers with the best possible service, we constantly seek new avenues and opt for an innovative approach.
