Remote sensing

Even from space we are increasingly able to analyze spatial patterns in detail and to monitor relevant ecological developments. Satellite images enable for example monitoring of changes in remote areas with great detail, to assess biomass production or to analyze habitat suitability for specific species. We also apply these techniques for making inundation models (deltas, coastal areas) and to analyse changes in tree cover in the Sahel. Contact us if you want to know more about these applications.
